Before becoming a Christian, I stayed away from the bible because I thought it was only for closed minded judge mental people. I assumed this due to all of the people I've met and the media portrayal I would see on sites like tumblr, and at the same time I was broken. I struggled with bulimia, cutting myself, and depression. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder by the age of 17. Before this, I ended up in the hospital over alcohol poisoning and near suicide attempt whole being blacked out. I tried jumping in the train tracks and didn't even know until my friends told me a year later. I ended up in the hospital again for near divide attempt, the psych ward. I was depressed for many reasons: my parents mistreated me, my friends as well as at times I mistreated them ( the friendship was dysfunctional) and my first love treated me like trash which severed my depression. He ended up dating my friend and take away her virginity as well as fall in love with her as I watched, and was treated as the rebound. My life was a mess and I got worse and worse, as time progressed I started getting panic attacks as well. I was absolutely broken, and then I found faith in Christ. It was then that he revealed to me that I was molested at the age of 3, and I called my family to confirm memories as they did. After that, my life completely changed. I started healing, Christ gave me faith, hope, love, and healed all of my wounds. I am now depression free for 2 years for the first time and I have never been happier in a lol of my life. Lesson: Jesus is the answer to all problems, even "medical" ones.
