And don't you just love the hymn, IS MY NAME WRITTEN THERE? based on John 14.2 "Oh! that beautiful city, with its mansions of light, With its glorified beings, in pure garments of white; Where no evil thing cometh to despoil what is fair; Where the angels are watching, yes, my name's written there." 2/10/2021, 8:41am by "Tom": In other translations the word mansions is translations it appears as places or abodes. I looked it up on a Greek-English NT and it is literally translated abodes. What are your thoughts?

10/17/2020, 9:04am by "ADG": This is literally mansions the Lord Jesus is talking about. Jesus is talking here. He even said "if it were not so, I would have told you." God is always true with His word and God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil? - Number 23:19 When the Lord says I am free then I am free. For He says, "So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed." - John 8:36 That's why Paul says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." - Ephesians 1:7 Why can't we believe a God who chose to die for the sins of many so we can attain the life everlasting? It could have been us who should be on that cross but no. Because of His richness in grace and mercy "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us". - Romans 5:8 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord - Romans 6:23 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him - 2 Corinthians 5:21 God chose to love us even we are unlovable. We are wretched people and we need a saviour cause there is no good in us; No one is righteous, no! not one. - Romans 3:10 What shall it profit me if I gained the whole world and lose my own soul? - Mark 8:36 It is better for me to be in His courts than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked - Psalms 84:10 For it is appointed for men, us, to die once but after this is judgment. Death is real. Hell is real. That's why God sent Jesus once and for all to die for many once. He is not going to do it again. That is why we need a Saviour. We can only be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Are you ready to receive Him?

Those in Christ go to be with the Lord when they die awaiting new bodies. Those not in Christ, well they go to the other place....

AMD hiw dies a human get to say how wonderful another human is? They could have been really crappy on the inside that's why we all still gotta be judged m the first death and the second death. It's all in there.

3/23/2020, 8:42pm by "Dawn R Cooper": He was speaking to his disciples not us. Raju are on heaven possibly bit we must all be judged first. It says so in countless scriptures.old and mee testament. When we die we go back t ok the ground and await the second coming. If every one just went straight to heaven because man thought they where good people, what's the point? Jesus himself said the dead no nothing. As if they were asleep!! Thays Jesus saying that not me!! Gotta wait for the resurrection to see where you're truly going! Heaven, hell or the new earth. Says it right on the bible, the meek shall inherit the earth. So we dont just magically die and wake up in heaven! There would be on use for judgement.

Those who believe in God and that God 's son gave his incorporated life for us and for forgiveness of our sins. If you believe in reincarnations, for instance only, and also you believe in Christ and God and Holy Spirit, there is room for all, not all 'organized religions " are the ONE and ONLY way to get to the House of GOD.

1/05/2015, 9:44am by "Joanna": I thought that this passage refers to all believers, no matter what faith you followed. Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu,Judaism,etc.! If you believed in God, Yahweh, Jehovah....The creator of us all, no matter what name you place to our Lord. I once heard that He gave his name to Moses as "I am " when Moses asked while on the mount and God appeared as the burning bush.
